Do you think to develop the ability to paint? Painting with watercolours is a promising and expressive ability. The painting is made using a colour pigment contained in a water-soluble carrier. You can control the amount of water added to create a luminous or striking painting. Watercolour painting is often chosen to describe scenery or nature. Watercolours are available in small jars or tube packs. Choosing a watercolour in the tube will make it easier to add colour collections because the watercolours in a small jar usually present with predetermined colours. Watercolours can be distinguished by their nature: some are transparent and some are opaque. The transparent colour lets you see the white colour of the paper so that each paint streak looks like a glow. Blurry colours can also make paintings look clear, but have a tendency to look dull because the paint is blocking the light through the paper.

– Choose the brush you will use

You will need many different brush sizes, from number 5 to number 10. The brush should have a good tip for easy grasping. You may also have to buy a flat brush. This brush has long, straight edges that are useful when you are making the base layer of your painting.

– Purchase special watercolour paper

There is no other choice if you want a painting that does not bulge when used. Watercolour paper is usually heavy and textured. This type of paper is made to withstand water and paint in a certain amount.

– Look for a palette

If you use the items in your house, use a large plate. This plate will help you to mix some paint colours. If you want to buy a palette, make sure you choose a palette with a large basin so you can mix water. You can buy one pallet with many basins to get the desired colour.

– Look for a board

When you start, you can use a solid thick carton that is placed on a wall or board. If you buy a board, choose a wood based board, plexiglass, or foam to hold watercolours. You also need to buy a buffer for the board when you are painting.

– Look for equipment to organise and clean your stuff

This equipment depends on your personal needs. Some artists use water containers, paper towels, pencils, and erasers. You may also want to use old clothes or work clothes when painting.
